ESTABLISHMENT OF ATOMIC SAFETY AND LICENSING BOARD Pursuant to delegation by the Comissica dated December 29, 1972, published in the Federal Register, 37 F.R. 28710 (1972), and Sections 2.105, 2.700, 2.702, 2.714, 2.714a 2.717 and 2.721 of the Comission's Regulations, all as amended, an Atomic Safety and Licensing Board is being established in the following proceeding to rule on petitions for leave to intervene and/or requests for hearing and to preside over the proceeding in the event that a hearing is ordered.

UN!YERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, BERKELEY Research Reactor Facility Operating License No. R-101 This Board is being established pursuant to a notice published by the Consission on March 10, 1988, in the Federal Register (53 F.R.

7823-24) entitled, "Proposed Issuance of Orders Authorizing Disposition of Cogonent Parts and Tenninating Facility License." The proposed Orders would authorize the University of California, Berkeley (the Licensee) to dispose of the component parts of the research reactor fr,  !

their possession, in accordance with the Licensee's application dated January 8, 1988 and terminate the Facility Operating License No. R-101.
