Cear Mr. Calvo:

P-88300 August 19, 1988 Based upon continuing favorable surveillance results to date showing virtually no progression of tendon corrosion, PSC again respectfully requests NRC concurrence to convert to the proposed revised interim tendon surveillance program schedule as outlined and justified in the Reference (3) letter (Attachment 1).
PSC believes it i s very appropriate from a technical standpoint and prudent from a personnel safety standpoint (due to difficult accessibility with a heavy tendon jack) to convert to the proposed annual surveillance and reporting schedule.
It is also PSC's desire to complete in a more timely fashion a surveillance on the remaining accessible tendons which have had no previous surveillance; the proposed revised schedule per Reference (3) is weighted to accelerate completion of these remaining surveillances.
If you should have any questions concerning the current tendon surveillance report or the proposal for a revised interim tendon surveillance program, please contact Mr.
