ORDER This Board's May 11, 1988 order is amended to provide that the New England Coalition on Nuclear Pollution's response to the applicants' suggestion of mootness is to be received by the members of this Board no later than 4:00 p.m.
on Thursday, May 19, 1988.
This amendment is prompted by the Licensing Board's dismissal today of the Coalition's contentions I.V.
and IV on the ground that they have been abandoned.
Manifestly, the Coalition should take that action into account in responding to the suggestion of mootness.1 1
The brief of the NRC staff in response to the Coalition's appeal from the Licensing Board's February 17, 1988 memorandum and order is not as yet due.
Although the staff no doubt will wish to address the mootness question, we will expect its brief to focus upon the merit.s of the appeal as well.

C. Je g Shbemaker Secrefery to the-Appeal Board 2 It is not certain when the Coalition will receive official service of the Licensing Board's memorandum and order memorializing the dismissal of its contentions.
For this reason, we have informally provided the Coalition with a copy of that memorandum and order.
