Dear Mr. Hurley:
Reference (a) summarized the NRC staff's understanding of actions that would be taken to address deficiencies in the existing grease installed in limitorque valve operators at Braidwood Unit 2.
Reference (b), (c) and (d) provided additional details of these actions and included the commitment to change out the grease per the acceptance criteria presented in the submittals.
The purpose of this letter is to notify the NRC staff that at this time, the grease has been changed out in those Unit 2 valve operators specified in reference (c) and that the actions presented in reference (a) have been completed.
Other commitments, related to this issue such as the
. completion of radiation testing, still remain in effect and are expected to be completed as previously scheduled.
