50-328 SEQUOYAH NUCtEAR PLANT (SQN) - REPORT OF COMPLETED LATE COMMITMENTS The purpore of this letter is to report the completion of four comnitments that were not completed by their scheduled due dates.
Each latr, commitment j
was reported by telephone to Joe Brady, of NRC Region II; Jack Donohew, of NRC Office of Special Projects; and the SQN Senior Resident Inspector on or about l
each respective scheduled due date.
l The first commitment, made in Licensee Event Report (LER) 88023, revision 1, i
was to implement a formalized troubleshooting procedure outlining guidelines on what typ3s of troubleshooting are allowed and when they are allowed.
This 4
j commitment was due by July 29, 1988.
The procedure was actually implemented i
on August 4, 1988, which completed this commitment.
l The second commitment, made in the Integrated Design Inspection (Inspection i
Report Nos. 50-327 -328/87-48), was to reevaluate the methodology for I
establishing the maximum and minimum temperatures for mild plant areas.
This

commitment was due by August 1,1988.
The completion package for this i
commitment was submitted to SQN Site Licensing on July 26, 1988, but required i
adoittonal documentation. The revised completion package was resubmitted on
(
August 10, 1988, which completed this commitment.

The third comitment, made in LER 83097, revision 3, was to issue additional i
l design accuracy data calculations for the containment sump level transmitters to be used a', an operability acceptance criteria check.
This commitment was due by August 10, 1988.
The calculations were actually issued on l
August 19, 1988, which completed this commitment.
The fourth comm;tment, also made in LER 83097, revision 3, was to revise two I
i preventive maintenance procedures to reflect the latest design accuracy data in the acceptance criteria.
This commitment was due by August 17, 1988.

procedures, which were delayed because of the third comitment above, were

revised by August 19, 1988, which completed this comitment.
