1. Management Invoivement in Assuring Quality The . licensee's submittals concerning their actions taken to assure that post-maintenance testing is required after maintenance and that these test and maintenance procedures contain applicable vendor and engineering recommendations exhibited evidence of adequate management involvement. The scheduling, developing, reviewing, and submittal of adequate responses entailed management participation. Decisions in assigning responsibilities, revising procedures, purchasing additional equipment, and performing plant i

modifications to help ensure reliable reactor trip capability reflected

adequate management involvement.

Rating: Category 2

2. Resolution of Technical Issues from a Safety Standpoint Review of licensee's responses revealed that they understood the requirements of GL 83-28 and adequately resolved technical issues.

Rating: Category 2

3. Responsiveness to NRC Initiatives Licensee's initial responses to Action Items 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.2.1, 4.1, and 4.5.1 were found to be adequate. Subsequent responses to NRC requests for more information have been timely, concise, and adequate.
