Dear Mr. Taylor:

This office represents 33 licensed operators currently or previously employed at Philadelphia Electric Company's Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station. Each of these licensees has received a Notice of Violation from your office dated August 9, 1988, and we are helping them prepare appropriate replies.

We have received and reviewed copies of our clients' enforcement conference transcripts and have conducted individual meetings. Each client has expressed an intent to admit to the violation, and to pay the fine where assessed.

Because of our clients' work assignments and vacation schedules we will be unable to complete all of the replies within the 30 days specified in each Notice of Violation, which expires on September 8, 1988.

I spoke by telephone on September 6, 1988, with Howard Wong, Deputy Director, Office of Enforcement, and asked for an extension to file the replies of 13 of our clients. Mr.

Wong spoke to Mr. James Lieberman, and directed me to set forth in writing the names and license numbers of the operators whose replies have not been completed and to seek an extension until September 30, 1988. Accordingly, I respectfully request an extension for the following licensecs:
