Reactor Vessel Specimen Surveillance Test Results for Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station Unit 2

Please find attached the report of the subject test results which was prepared for the Philadelphia Electric Company by the General Electric Company.
This report is submitted to satisfy 10 CFR 50 Appendix H, "Reactor Vessel Material Surveillance Program Requirements", which requires the submittal of the test results within one year of the withdrawal of the specimen capsule.
The specimen capsule was removed from the Unit 2 reactor vessel on May 15, 1987.
An Application for amendment to revise the Unit 2 Thermal and Pressurization Limitations, Sections 3/4.6, will be submitted by January 15, 1989 to reflect the test results.
Limiting Condition for Operation 3.6.A requires the revision of these operating curves prior to nine effective full power years (EPPY) of operation.
Since Unit 2 has operated for 7.53 EFPY to date, the January submittal will satisty this requirement.
