l Enclosed is a revision to the Reed Reactor Facility Security Plan. The revision was necessitated by changes in the security system and security response organization, although, other revisions were also made. These changes result from recommendations following an audit of our Security Plan by our oversight committee, the Radiation Safety Committee. This revision has been approved by that committee. The revisions do not decrease the effectiveness of the Security Plan at the Reed Reactor Facility. !
The revised document is submitted in two versions to assist your review. A clean version for your i
mcords, and an edited version that includes the deleted text with the new text. Deleted text is in i d.h=: and new text is in bold. A bar in the right margin indicates a revised paragraph. Three copies of each are submitted. ,
Global Changes: I Gender specific language was removed, references to NRC Region IV were removed, and Campus Security / Reed College Security Force r-ferences were all changed to Community Safety. In many places the language was revised. If such a revision changed the meaning of the section, it is listed below, otherwise it is not specifically mentioned in this document.
Section 1.0:
The Permanent CAA description was switched from i 1.1.2 to 61.1.1. The Temporary CAA description was switched from 61.1.1 to {1.1.2.
1.1.1 Unnecessary descriptions removed. Removed capitol letters from north, south, east, and west. Moved fuel handling tool description to section 52.2.
