COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION DOCKET NOS. 50-445 AND 50-446 TURBINE DRIVEN AUXILIARY FEEDWATER PUMP BEARING TEMPERATURE SDAR:
CP-87-50 (SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT)
Gentlemen:
On July 27, 1987, we verbally notified your Mr. H. S. Phillips of a deficiency involving abnormal thrust bearing temperatures on the Turbine Driven Auxiliary Feedwater Pump.
Our last report, logged TXX-88392 dated April 15, 1988, provided a schedule for the completion of corrective actions to resolve this deficiency. Due to continuing delays in supply of material and repair instructions by the vendor, the schedule provided in TXX-88392 will not be met.
The new schedule date for completion, based upon projected availability of spare parts and finalized repair instructions from the vendor, is November 14, 1988 for all Unit 1 AFW Pumps.
The completion schedule for Unit 2 will be prior to Unit 2 fuel load.
