As an adjunct to Mr. Palomino's letter to you, dated May 6, 1988, concerning the LILCO Plan, I am transmitting to you under separate cover all of the Shoreham RECS telephones and speakers -

(except for one speaker which can't be located), to the knowledge of State officials, which have been provided to the State of New York.

Pursuant to policy established by the Governor, no State agency has used this equipment for any purpose or intends to use it in the future.

Dear Mr. Freilicher:

Except for three file copies of the LILCO off-site radiological emergency response plan for the Shoreham Nuclear Power Station which shall remain in custody of counsel for purposes of litigation, and except for copies of that plan which have been discarded by State agencies since receipt, I'm to the transmitting herewith all of the copies of the LILCO Plan, knowledge of New York State officials, which have been sent to the State of New York.

This action is being taken because there is no reason for Pursuant to policy any State agency to retain the LILCO Plan.

ostablished by the Governor, no State agency has studied the LILCO Plan, no State agency has conducted any training pursuant to the LILCO Plan and no State agency has participated in any drills or exercises of that plan. Furthermore, no State agency intends to undertake any such action in the future with respect to the said LILCO Plan for Shoreham.

If LILCO makes any further revisions of the said plan, please send three copies to me for the purposes of litigation and
