e ENCLOSURE supplemental Response to Inspection Report 456/85-008 and 457/85-008 Item 456/85-008-10b The Braidwood Project Construction Department (PCD) has assessed the adequacy of using tape as a protective covering method. PCD has directed Phillips, Getschow Company (PGCo) to utilize tape only as a protective covering for' temporary storage of pipe and valves. PGCo was directed to utilize metal, plastic, wood or other durable saterial which is adequately secured with tape or other qualified adhesive as protective covering for pipe, valves, etc. in non-temporary storage. PGCo will initiate any necessary procedure changes as well as any remedial field work to upgrade protective covers for pipe, valves, etc.

Implementation of these measures is expected by March 7, 1986.
