Dear Mr. Craven:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is considering possible enforcement action against an NRC licensee for discrimination involving Richard D. Parks.
The Department of Labor (DOL) conducted an investigation pursuant to 29 CFR Part 24 in the complaint of Mr. Parks to the DOL Wage and Hour Division dated March 23, 1983 as supplemented by his complaint dated April 22, 1983. Subsequent to the investigation, the parties reached en agreement and the complaint was withdrawn (00L Case No. 83-ERA-8).
If the NRC proceeds with enforcement action, it may become desirable to publicly release the DOL Compliance Officer's report of investigation of Parks' complaint.
The purpose of this letter is to request DOL concurrence to release the report.
If you cannot concur in the release of the entire report, we alternatively request that you forward to us, at your earitest convenience, a copy of those parts of the report which you agree may be released.
