FEACH BOTTOM UNIT 1 CONTAINMENT AND EXCLUSION AREA INSPECTIONS 1987

/

INSPECTION

SUMMARY

ST 12.12, the semi-annual Unit 1 Exclusion Area Inspection, was performed in December 1986 and July 1987.

Neither of these inspections revealed any unacceptable physical or radiological conditions.

In addition, periodic inspections were performed to monitor water conditions inside the exclusion area.

As noted in i

previous Unit 1 Annual Decommission Reports, inspections of the exclusion area have revealed a moisture spot in the lower basement of the containment.

The inspections covered by this report revealed no significant change in the size of the moisture spot (currently less than 10 square feet).

The most probable source of the moisture is in-leakage of rain water.

No additional areas of accumulating water were discovered.

Water samples obtained for radiological analysis and radiological surveys performed during all inspections have revealed no significant i

activity or radiation levels.
