PURPOSE:
To discuss NRC staff coments on NuPac's topical report for its CP-9 concrete dry spent fuel storage cask design.
DISCUSSION:
Initial discussion centered on clarifying some NRC staff comments on the topical report. Then the need for NuPac to provide a better foundation to i
support the use of concrete at high temperatures for an extended period under normal conditions was discussed. Development of a broader data base to support j
this need was covered. Cask modeling and cask testing were also discussed in this context.
