DPR-42 60-306 DPR-60 License Amendment Request Dated February 21, 1986 Change in Expiration Date of Operating License Attached are three originals and 37 conformed copies of a request for a change in the Operating Licenses for Unit No. I and Unit No. 2 of the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant.
This request is. submitted in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR Part 50, Section 50.90.
A check is attached in the amount of
$150.00 in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR Part 170 for the amendment application fee.
The proposed change will revise the expiration date of the Unit No. 1 Operating License from Kune 25, 2008 to August 9, 2013.
It will revise the expiration date of the Unit No. 2 Operating License from June 25, 2008 to October 29, 2014.
In accordance with current Nuclear Re2ulation Commission policy, this estab-lishes the period of the Operating Licenses as 40 years from date of issuance.
The Operating Licenses currently specify an expira-tion date based on 40 years frcm date of the Construction Permits.
Exhibit A contains a description of the propoaed change, the reasons for requesting the change, a Significant Hazards Determi-nation, and an assessment of environmental impact.
Exhibit B contains pages of the Prairie Island Unit No. I and Unit No. 2 Operating License with the requested wording changes.
