lead us through the item on the agenda.
5 MR. CHILK:
The item, Mr. Chairman, is SECY 86-24, 6
entitled Petition for Hearing on License Re, quests for 7
Authorization for On-Site Disposal of Low Level-Radioactive 8
Waste.
The Commission in this paper is being asked to respond 9
to petitions from members of the public for hearings in 10 connection with a request from two licensees, Toledo Edison 11 Company and Sequoia Fuel Corporation, to dispose of low-level 12 radioactive waste on site.
13 All the Commissioners have approved an order as
~
modified by Commissioner Zech, referring the hearing request 14 15 to the Chairman of the Atomic Licensing Safety Board for 16 disposition in an informal adjudication.
