PERRY INSPECTION REPORT 50-440/98016(DRP)
Dear Mr. Myers:
On September 8,1998, the NRC completed a routine safety inspection at your Perry Nuclear
Power Plant. The enclosed report presents the results of that inspection.
During this inspection period, the conduct of activities at the Perry facility was characterized by
conservative operations. The on-shift operating crews responded well to plant transitents and
equipment malfunctions. There was good coordination between operations and engineering
department personnelin the resolution of questionable surveillance data on the hydrogen
recombiners.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR Part 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and
its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
