Kaufman to USNRC dated July 12, 198d Gentlement The purpese of this letter is to request a meeting with the appropriate members of your staff, relative to the reference (1) NRC inspection.
That inspection identified several aspects of our Health Physics program which needed strengthening.
In our response to that inspection (reference 2), we stated that we had embarked on a comprensusive program to achieve that strengthening, and provided a broad overview of our upgrade program.
Now that you have had an opportunity to review that response, we would like to meet with you, at the Region I offices, tot a) present our detailed health physics performance improvement program, incuding actions, schedule, etc.,
b) discuss the program status, and c) answer any questions which you may have relative to the above presentation and our response to the inspection.
UNC Naval Products attendees would be myself; Don Luster, Health Physics Specialist; and Tom GutmaA, Criticality and Licensing specialist.
I suggest that vs 26.t durlug the week or september 12 or 19.
