COMMONWEALTH EDISON COMPANY'S NOTICE OF DEPOSITIONS Pursuant to 10 C.F.R.
S 2.720 (h) (2) (i) and S 2.740a(a),
notice is hereby given that Commonwealth Edison Company shall depose NRC Staff members, namely P.
Keshishian, K. R. Hooks and other NRC inspectors having knowledge of the subject of the depositions described herein.
The depositions shall be conducted on March 10 and 11 beginning with the deposition of Mr. Keshishian and continuing with the deposition of Mr. Hooks and then other identified deponents at 10:00 A.M.
each day at the offices of Isham, Lincoln & Beale, 115G Connecticut Avenue, N.W., Suite 1100, Washington, D.C.
The depositions shall be taken before a certified court reporter.
The subject of the depositions shall be the executive summary, project management, welding and nondestructive examination and design change control aspects of the Construction Appraisal Team (CAT) inspection conducted by the Office of 8602280420 860227

This inspection was reported in IE Report No. 50-456/84-44, 50-457/84-40, (hereafter the " CAT Inspection Report" or
" Report").
Applicant is informed that deponent Keshishian was the inspection team leader responsible for the executive summary found in Appendix A of the CAT Inspection Report and for the project management appraisal found in Section IX of the Report.
Applicant believes that deponent Hooks was the inspector responsible in whole or part for the welding and nondestructive examination appraisal found in Section IV of the Report.
Applicant has been anable to identify as a named 1
deponent the inspector or inspectors responsible for the design cha.tge control appraisal found in Section VII of the Report.
The deponents' testimony is relevant to the Rorem Quality Assurance Contention.
Specifically, paragraph 1C through 1F of the Rorem Q.A. Contention rely in whole or in part on the CAT Inspection Report findings regarding project management; paragraph 10E of the Rorem Q.A. Contention relies in whole or part on the CAT Inspection Report findings regarding welding and nondestructive examination; and paragraph SA of the Rorem Q.A. Contention relies in whole or part on the CAT Inspection Report findings regarding design changa control.
In addition to these paragraphs, paragraphs 8B, 8C, 10C, 10D and 12D of the Rorem Q.A. Contention rely in whole or part on the CAT Inspection Report findings summarized in the executive summary.

't The deponents shall bring with them all documents in their possession which pertain to the appraisals in the CAT Inspection Report described above, including but not limited to:
procedures and/or guidance used in the inspection, correspondence, notes, and memoranda.
