i The purpose of this modification is to incorporate a within-scope change to I task area 2 to add specific code improvement subtasks which were not priced  !

into the basic contract or its option years. The contract estimated cost will be increased by $37,454, and the fixed fee is increased by $2,546 for a total CPFF increase of $40,000.. Accordingly, the contract is modified as follows:

1.-Pursuant to FAR 52.243-2,.the following subtasks are hereby added to TASK AREA 2 of the contract:

The following subtasks are hereby added to Section C.1.3 TASK AREA 2:

TASK AREA 2, Subtask 2 )

l (q) Integrated Testing of SNAP / Mod 0 (8 staff-weeks)

The= contractor shall perform Alfa testing of SNAP / Mod 0. The contractor shall debug the code and correct errors as they are identified. The contractor shall support Beta testir.g of SNAP / Mod 0 and continue debugging and error-corrections.

(r) Portability of SNAP / Mod 0 .

1 The contractor shall ensure portability of SNAP / Mod 0 to all major workstation platforms supported by the NRC, and the PC Windows. The contractor shall distribute the code per NRC/RES instruction.

(s) Demonstrations The contractor shall arrange for a demonstration of SNAP at the RELAPS users' meeting in Chicago during September 21-23, 1998. Arrange for and conduct another demonstration at the Fall 1998 CAMP meeting to be held in Bethesda, MD.

The required completion date for these subtasks is December 31, 1998.

2. As a result of the above, Section B.3, Consideration and Obligation, paragraphs (a), (e), and (f) are deleted in their entirety and the following paragraphs are substituted in lieu thereof:

"(a) The total estimated cost to the Government for full performance cf contract is $2,751,986.69, of which the sum of $2,559,451.59 represents the estimated reimbursable costs, the amount of $185,035.88 represents the fixed

~ fee,.and the amount of $7,499.22 represents the facilities capital cost of moneyi These amount do not include amounts for unexercised future option years.

(e) The amount currently obligated with respect to this contract is ,

$2,490,847.28 of which the sum of $2,316,582 represents reimbursable costs, l

$6973.22 represents FCCM, and $167,292.06 represent the fixed fee. i (f) It is estimated that the amount currently allotted will cover performance through December 31, 1998."
