Transmittal of C erator License Certificates
Dear Dr. Bragdon:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission considers-licensed Reactor Operators and Senior Reactor Operd, tors to be a vital factor ?n the protection of the health and safety of the public. They are also,.of course, a vital factor,in preventing damage to your facilities.
In recognition of the important role licensed operators fulfill in protecting the public, the Comission has directed that a certificate suitable for framing be issued to each such operator.
In response to thic Comission direction, it is my pleasure to forward to you for presentation, certificates i
for Matthew P. Blackwell, Jeffrey P. Bradford, Brian F. Bunce, Sarah E. Herbelin, Jack F. Higginbotham, Chloe P. Lewis and Lawrence Ruby.
It is noted that only one Reactor Operator or Senior Reactor Operator certificate will be issued to an individual.
It is also noted that the certificate is a recognition of achievement, not a license.
Accordingly, present requirements relating to issuance and renewal of licenses remain unchanged, and the actual license or renewal authority will be issued as a letter.
The Chairman, Dr. Murley and Mr. Martin request that yov offer their personal congratulations to each of the recipients of these certificates.
