TOWN OF AMESBURY, MA ----- REQUEST TO PARTICIPATE The Town of Amesbury, Massachusetts (hereinafter " Town"), as allowed by 10 CFR Ch.1, s2.715(c), wishes to be afforded the opportunity as an interested municipality to participate in the above-captioned proceedings.

The Town will show that implementation of radiolgical emergency response plans for the State of New Hampshire during a general emergency situation will have an adverse effect on the well-being of the residents of the Town. Consequently, those adverse effects will increase the hardship of the residents of affected New Hampshire consnunities.

In the event radiological emergency response plans are submitted on behalf of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Town intends to file contentions in accordance with 10 CFR Ch.1, s2.714, and to support those contentions as interve rs during the hearings
