Mr. Snellings is at least one possibility. The following is his phone number and email' address. I have not had the opportunity to see if he is interested. In additiort there are several other of our agreement states in Louisiana and Texas that deal with these issues all of the time. Since I will be on travel for the next several weeks, I suggest that you contact Paul Lohaus, Deputy Director, NRC's Office of State Programs for additional possibilities.

Just when you had left Vienna we realized that we should have consulted

you on an expert / consultant for a CSM 30 Nov -4 Dec 1998 (preliminary).
As I mentioned during my presentation, we have a draft Safety Report on Radiation and Waste Safety in the Oil and Gas Industry, which now mainly covers aspects on naturally occurring radionuclides, but which should be ,
extended to cover all aspects, i.e. also sealed and unsealed sources.
Ron Wheelton, who chaired the group drafting the present version witl come back in November, but he needs support.
Would you think that David Snellings whom you mentioned to Tony and Geoff, when you were here, would be a suitable candidate for that task?
If so, could you send me his contact address, e-mail, etc. If not, do you have another proposal?
