SUBJECT:
SUPPARY OF PEETING WITH CP.AHA PUBLIC POKER DISTRICT (OPPD) - AUGUST 25, 1988 A recting was held with OPPD to discuss the independent managenent analysis of the operation of the Fort Calheun Station (FCS). Attendees at the reeting are listed in Enclosure 1.
The presentation for OPPD was made largely by Pr. W. C. Jones, Sr. Vice President, who is in charge of Nuclear Operations. OPPD ranastrent recognized in mid-1987 that significant problems existed at fort Calhcun and new acticns would be required.
Stone and Webster was retained to do an indererdent ranagenent assessrent at the sane tire significant changes were rade ir, the OPPD ranagement structure affecting FCS.
All phases of the CPPD program were discussed. These included:
- Identification of the problems.
- Irproverent programs Put into place.
- The resrense to the appraisal, and
- Actions to address problem root causes.
OPPD noted that over 200 irdividual ccrmittents were involved in their program.
The total progran period extends until 1990. However, over half the iter.s are projected to te ccrplete by the end of 1988 Details of the OPPD Presentation are in Enclosure 7.
