SUBJECT:
DUAL UNIT OPERATOR LICENSES - V0GTLE UNITS 1 AND 2 This refers to your memorandum of June 24, 1988, regarding the licensing of Vogtle Unit 1 operators on Vogtle Unit 2.
The Operator Licensing Branch of DLPQ has reviewed your memorandum and its enclosures and concurs with Region !!'s recommendation that the NRC not administer plant differences examinations for dual unit licensing of operators holding current Unit I licenses.
This concurrence is contingent upon Region II proceeding with its plan to observe a sampling of the facility's plant walk-through examinations and review a sampling of the associated two-hour written examinations af ter they are administered.
This confirms the telephone conversation between Mr. Spade Cooley of my staff and Mr. John Munro on August 29, 1988.
