1. Reference ALM AJCOM-SOA/SG letter dated 30 Apr 1985, entitled

" Single Air Force License for Radioactive Material".

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued a single radioactiv e material license of broad scope to the USAF Radio-isotope Committee on 26 June 1985, which ef f ectively transf ers authority and responsibility for the control of all radioactive material in the Air Force to the Committee. Effective 26 June 1985, all NRC i.icenses issued to Air Force orren17ations are terninated and replaced with USAF Radioactive Material Permit:,

s notification that your previous NRC License number with expira tio n da t e of 31-JUL-8 9, has been cenv erted to a

US AF Radioactive Material Permit number SNM-133 8-AFP with new ex pir a tion date of 31-JUL-87. A new USAF Radioactive Material Permit will be issued to you when your permit expires and you fil e for a renewal. Your only actions required at this time are to attach this letter to your existing NRC License and to respond by separate correspondence with a verification of receipt of this notification. Send verification letter to HQ AFOMS/SGPR, Brooks AFB TX 78235-5000 within 15 days or receipt.

Please note the change in mailing address for the I'S AF Radio-isotope Committee and forward all future correspondence to this address.
