50-260 50-296 BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT - RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION TO IE BULLETIN (IEB) 85-03 In a letter from K. P. Barr to S. A. White dated April 1, 1988, NRC requested additional information pertaining to IEB 85-03, "Motor Operated Valve Common Mode Failures During Plant Transients Due to Improper Switch Settings."
In a conversation with the NRC staff on April 22, 1988, NRC informed TVA that a supplement to IEB 85-03 would be issued near the end of April 1988 and indicated it would be acceptable for TVA to delay responding to the request for additional information until the supplement to IEB 85-03 was issued.
Based on this conversation TVA will delay its response until the supplement to 1
IEB 85-03 is issued at which time TVA will respond to the supplement to IEB 85-03 and the specific questions in the April 1, 1988 letter.
