JOSEPH M. FARLEY NUCLEAR PIANT UNIT 1 NARRATIVE SID9tARY OF OPERATIONS January, 1986 There were no unit shutdowns during the month of January.

A significant power reduction began on 1-3-86.

Power was reduced to approximately 38.5% of rated thermal power due to a high sodium level in the Unit 1 steam generator blowdown. After the sodium level was reduced, the Unit returned to full power operation on 1-6-86.

The following majcr safety-related maintenance was performed in the month of January:

Miscellaneous corrective and preventive maintenance was performed on diesel generators.
