070-01366 Control No. 108376 Dear Sir or Ms By letter dated February 1, 1988 I had requested renewal of the referenced licente. Subsequent to that date, a Coratomic Model C-101 Pacemaker was explanted f rom a patient and returned to the manuf acturer. Therefore, the possession limit requested in our Februaqr 1,1988 renewal application needs to be changed.
The possesson limit for our renewed license should be as follows:
- c. Number of paamakers to be authorized
- Two Coratomic Model C-101 Plutonium Pacemakers Possession Limit 0.50 grams Plutonium-238 (two individual sources not to exceed 250 milligrams each)
As a follow up to my letter of February 19, 1988 advising you of this most recent explantation, disposition information is as follows:
Coratomic Pu-238 Nuclear Powered Pacer Model C-101, Serial No. 198, was shipped from NIH on February 22, 1988 to Biocontrol Technology, Inc.,
300 Indian Springs Read. Indiana, PA 15701, License No. SNM-1319, and received by them on February 23, 1988.
