REPORTS OF NUCLEAR SAFETY TEAM VISIT TO USSR Enclosed, for your information, are copies of the final versions of two reports of the March 1987 interagency nuclear safety team trip to the USSR, which was led by NRC Commissioner Bernthal. The first, "Report of a Trip to the USSR by a U.S. Government Nuclear Safety Team," was prepared by NRC.

The second, "Report of a Trip to the USSR by an NRC-DOE Nuclear Safety Team,"

was prepared by DOE. While both reports cover the same trip, they approach

, the subject from a slightly different perspective and are complementary to each other.
