STAFF REQUIREMENTS - SECY-98-198 - STATUS OF THE ISSUE RESOLUTION PROCESS IN THE HIGH-LEVEL RADIOACTIVE WASTE PROGRAM AT YUCCA MOUNTAIN, NEVADA The Commission has approved the staffs proposal to use rulemaking as a way of furthering issue resolution by eliminating certain issues from the Yucca Mountain licensing proceeding.
The staff should identify to the Commission the issues to be addressed through rulemaking, the amount of resources to be re-programmed, and the potentialimpacts on staff activities as a result of the re-programming.
