Docket Nos. 50-387 and 50-388 Ladies and Gentlemen:

b By now you should have received a copy of the Licensing Board's order dated October 26 concerning your petitions for leave to intervene.

In that order the Board stated its present intention to schedule a pre-hearing conference in January 1979 and urged the Staff and Applicant to meet with you prior to that time to attempt to agree on contentions, if any, suitable for litigation in this proceeding.

Toward that end, I would like to set up a meeting with you c.nd the Applicant in December to discuss your contentions.

I believe that the meeting would be more effective if beforehand the Staff and Applicant were provided with a list of your contentions and your bases for those contentions in as much detail as you can provide.

I would like to contact each of you by telephone in the near future to arrange the details of the proposed meeting.

Therefore, please advise me of a telephone number at which you can be reached (during the working day if possible).

If you'd prefer to call me, my telephone number is 301/492-7013.

Sincerely, 7811'390NQ
