ADDENDUM TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION AND THE FEDERAL ENERGY REGULATORY COMMISSION REGARDING THE TREATMENT OF CRITICAL ELECTRIC INFRASTRUCTURE INFORMATION On June 6, 2018, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that set forth the basic parameters under which NRC and FERC would cooperate under 18 C.F.R. § 388.113(a) to protect the material in the NRCs possession that may be Critical Electric Infrastructure Information (CEII).
The MOU includes a provision indicating that its terms would expire two years after the date of execution unless renewed by mutual agreement. This addendum reflects mutual agreement between NRC and FERC to extend the terms and provisions of the June 6, 2018, MOU for another two years. All other terms and provisions of the June 6, 2018, MOU remain unchanged.
This addendum extending the June 6, 2018, MOU between NRC and FERC is effective upon signing by the last signatory.
