ATTACHMENT l-SYSTEM DESCRIPTION FOR SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT LUBRICATING OIL SYSTEM Oil is pumped through the turbine system for lubricating purposed. This oil comes in contact with steam and other impurities as it is circulated through the system. When it is returned to the system tank /

reservoir, a negative presstue is maintained inside the tank / reservoir by a vapor extractor used to remove water vapor and dissolved gases. A mist eliminator is installed down stream of the vapor extractor on the Main Turbine Oil Tank to remove the majority of oil from the exhaust gas stream and drains to the waste

- oil system.

f Vapor extractors are located on the following components of the Lubricating Oil System:
