Overall Error The overall error associated with determining the total activity released from the site for both gaseous and liquid effluent is estimated to be 17.3 percent. This value is the square root of the sum of squares of counting statistics, associated calibration errors, sampling errors and tank volume estimates, each considered to be plus or minus 10 percent.
