ASLBP No. 86-519-02 SP INQUIRY INTO THREE MILE ISLAND UNIT 2 LEAK RATE DATA FALSIFICATION January 27, 1986 AAMODT PETITION FOR LEAVE TO' INTERVENE The Commission has defined the purpose of the hearing as "t.o determine t.he ultimate status of those likely involved, which includes t. hose segregated from TMI-1 and those now working at other facilities." Hence, anyone who resides, works or visits near any nuclear facility has interest in the hearing.
Since the ommission has limited the participation of parties to submittals of suggestions of witnesses, suggestions of questions to witnesses and submitt,al of findings of fact, this would constitute the extent of our participation. We have considerable familiarity with the issue having raised it in the TMI-Unit 1 restart proceeding by our motion served April 16, 1983, AAMODT COMMENTS CONCERNING NRC STAFF REVIEW OF GPU v. B&W COURT TRIAL TRANSCRIPT AND MOTIONS TO REOPEN RECORD OF RESTART PROCEEDING, attached.
We would anticipate that the Board would assume the responsibility for the development of a complete record.
THEREFORE, we petition for leave to intervene.
Respectfully submitted,
! W cl Ad12&
