Merchant Marine your Academy'would like to request renewal of license SNM-500.
Our current license and supporting documents accurately reflect our program, and we wish to continue to operate under our current license.
The documents _ dated May 22, 1980 and April 8, 1980 accurately reflect our current program and we will continue to operate in accordance with these_ documents and applicable NRC Regulations and license conditions.
The following changes should be-made in ITEM 5/6 of the document dated May 22,-1980 to reflect additional equipment acquired for training and for radiation detection and protection:
Scintillation Alpha Counter - Model SAV-4 (Eberline)
Beta Counter Model BC-4 (Eberline)
C-M Survey Meter (RASCAL) and PRM-6 (Eberline)
Neutron Detector - BF 3 Proportional detector mounted in the center of 9-inch diameter cadmium loaded polyethylene sphere-Model NRD (Eberline)
Neutron Detector - HP 280 (Eberline)
The name of Dr. Laurence Ferrari, cited in ITEM 4 (Supervisory Personnel) of the document dated May 22, 1980 should be deleted.
The additional title of Head, Department of Mathematics and Science should be added to the name of Dr. Albert Stwertka.
The name of the Superintendent of the U.
S.
Merchant Marine Academy in ITEM 1 of the same document should be changed to Admiral Thomas A.
King.
