Region III (Chicago) was informed by the inspector at the site that the Davis-Besse Unit 1 plant went critical at 1730 hours0.02 days <br />0.481 hours <br />0.00286 weeks <br />6.58265e-4 months <br /> EDT on August 12, 1977. .

No significant problems were noted during the approach to criticality which was achieved well within predicted limits. The plant received

. ! its operating license on April 22, 1977. During the interim period ' '

the plant loaded the fuel assemblies and conducted final equipment

! checkout.
