l The Commission was briefed by the NRC staff on the PRA Implementation Plan. The staff noted that it plans to issue a Commission paper in early 1999 which would identify options on modifying Part 50 to be risk-informed and include an assessment of industry's recent detailed I.
proposal for a risk-informed and performance-based pilot plant initiative. The Commission i
encouraged the staff to include the implications of all the options presented in the paper, i
including resources.
