Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 10 CFR 50 Appendix R - Loss of HVAC Procedures This letter confirms that existing TMI-1 Procedures 1203-34, "Control Building Ventilation System", and 1202-31, "Fire", provide guidance to the operator to establish portable control building ventilation upori loss of the installed control building ventilation system. This common, commercially available portable ventilation equipment is availdble in the plant for the operators use in such a situation and is preser.tly located in the Fire Equipment Locker (305' Turbine Bldg.) and the Operations Pump Cage.
This procedural guidance is an additional prudent measure available to the operators for a loss of ventilation event and is not a required action to j
achieve safe shutdown in the event of an Appendix R fire which causes loss of control building ventilation.
