Thank you for your compliments on our joint prograrn.
I have no objection to including in Priority 11 the assessment of simulator-related tools that you suggest. However, please note that NRC will not have a method for funding this work until completion of an agreement that is now being prepared by our staff representatives for Priority
- 11. The agreement will permit us to continue our support more directly and effectively to the extent that funds and other resources become available.
As you know, NRC is currently evaluating its programs and reorganizing its resources to improve efficiency. I, therefore, appreciate your persanal efforts to build on work that has already been done at NRA and to encourage regional cooperation. It is very rewarding for me and others at NRC to work with you and your staff and I look forward to continued cooperation in the future.
