SECY-88-217 -- Amendment of Commission Reculations on Ownershio of Securities by Certain NRC Emolovees and on Acceptance of Food, Refreshments, and Travel Exoenses from Outside Parties The Commission by a 4-0 vote approved amendments to NRC'S Conduct of Employees regulations that extends the prohibitions on ownership of certain securities to members of the Advisory Committee on Nuclear Waste and provides further guidance regarding circumstances under which an NRC employee could accept travel expenses from an otherwise prohibited source when proferred in connection with a job interview, and under which an employee could accept food and refreshments at widely-attended events sponsored by certain groups whose membership is composed of prohibited sources.
The amendments are in accordance with conditions imposed by the Office of Government Ethics.
Following final approval by the Office of Government Ethics, the rule should ha forwarded for signature and publication in the Federal Register.
