Dear Mr. Haughney:

I am writing on behalf of the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) and its High-Level Radioactive Waste Working Group to invite you to serve as faculty for the September l

28 meeting of the working group in Hartford, Connecticut.

As you know, the working group consists of state legislators from states that either host nuclear power plants, transportation corridors or potential sites for an interim storage facility.

The working group has focused on issues related to the storage, transportation and disposal of commercial and federally generated spent fuel and high-level radioactive waste. The working group members are interested in getting an update on current Nuclear Regulatory Commission activities related to the Millstone Plant and 10 CFR Part 72.

  • i Ifyou can serve as faculty for the working group meeting, please contact Linda Murakami-Sikkema or Sia Davis at (303) 830-2200 at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.

Sincerely, _ ,

hI Larry Morandi Group Director p Environn>ent, Energy and Transportation
