j Gentlemen:
L On January 20, 1988, TV Electric letter loggec' TXX 88086 notified you of a deficiency involving the pressure relieving capacity of the tornado ventiny devices on Units 1 and 2.
Specifically, the existing Design Basis Tornado (DBT) analysis does not include sufficient documentation to show conclusively that safety-related egetpmsnt is qualified for the differential pressures (nagative presure transient) expected during the DBT.
The purpose of this repot t is to revise the corrective action i:hplementation schedule for this issue.
The corrective action completion date (August 11,1988) specified in TXX-88086 has been revised. The DBT equipment evaliiation (item 2 of TXX 88086) is i
scheduled to be completed by September 30, 1988. A schedule for any Unit 1 l
rework which may result from that evaluation will be provided at that time, a
Any Unit 2 modifications will be completed prior to fuel load for Unit 2.
Very truly yours, l
