PRELIMINARY NOTIFICATION OF EVENT OR UNUSUAL OCCURRENCE--PNO-105 This preliminary notification constitutes EARLY notice of an event of POSSIBLE safet.y or public interest significance. The information presented is as initially received without verification or evaluntion and is basically all that is known by IE staff on this date.
Facility: Yankee Rowe (DN 50-29)
Yankee Atomic Electric Company, Rowe, MA.
Subject:
STRIKE Guards for the Green Mountain Security Force are on strike and have established a picket line at Yankee Rowe. Security in being maintained by Green Mountain management personnel. The guards e, each shift meet current Regulatory Requirements.
The licensee reports that conditions at the facility are calm and orderly.
The strike also affects unionized control room and auxiliary operators, mechanics and technicians who are not crossing the picket line. The

licensee stated that there are sufficient supervisory personnel (non-union) to provide adequate licensed operator and other personnel coverage t
in all areas.
The reactor is in a refueling outage.
The reactor vessel head is in I
place and no fuel movement has been started.
