Wiscsaset, Maine .

Subj ect: STEIKE An IBEW local of the Central Maine Power Company is on strike and has estab-lished a picket line at Maine Yankee. The union personnel of Maine Yankee I 3

are honoring the picket line.

The reactor is in a refueling outage. All fuel movement has been completed and the head is in place on the Reactor Pressure Vessel.

. Region I Inspectors are at the facility and report that conditions are calm

. and adequate licensed and other personnel coverage is available in all areas '

to conduct required activities.

• The strike affects control room and auxiliary operators, eachanics, electri-

cians, and technicians. Supervisory personnel including Shift Supervisors (licensed Senior-Reactor Operators), Supervisory Control Room Operators N (licensed Senior Reactor Operators) , craft supervisors, and health physics' y and chemistry supervisors are not affected. The Security Force is not affected.
