Docket No. 50-482 : Response to Violation 482/8810-01 Gentlemen Attached is a detailed response to violation 482/6810-01 which was documented in the Reference.
Violation 482/8810-01 involved a failure to demonstrate watchperson qualifications.
Wolf Creek believes that it was inappropriate for Region IV to have issued a violation in this area.
The contract security personnel are unarmed watchpersons and as such do not require hearing or eye examinations.
The contract watchpersons are given physicals by a physician's assistant. The results of these examinations are well documented.
While the physical examination for watchpersons is not as stringent as for armed personnel, we believe this is totally consistent with the regulations and our Training and Qualification Plan.
The attachment contains Sa fegua rd s In formation in accordance with 10 CFR 73.21 and therefore should be withheld from public disclosure.
This
