' SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-482/98-15
Dear Mr. Maynard:

' From July 12 through August 22,1998, a resident routine inspection was conducted at your
Wolf Creek Generating Station' reactor facility. The enclosed report presents the scope and -
,
results of that inspection.
During the 6-week period covered by this inspection, your conduct of activities at Wolf Creek
facilities was generally characterized by safety-conscious operations and sound maintenance
activities. Most noteworthy were your staff's efforts relating to the identification and repair of a.
leak in the letdown system.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its
enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR).
