Dear Mr. Keppler:
Commonwealth Edison's response to reference (a) specified the actions which had been and would be taken to correct the vibration monitoring program required by Section XI of the ASME Code and as delineated in the LaSalle
~
Inservice Testing programs (IST). The'implementat' ion of the revised procedure for the new vibration trending program connitted to in reference (b) is j
complete. To provide a more accurate description of LaSalle's IST vibration monitoring program a revision to the relief request Rp-04 was completed and on-site reviewed. However, submittal of the Unit 1 and Unit 2 IST revisions by January 1, 1986 was not accomplished'due to the expectation that the review l
of the previously submitted IST program is nearly completed at NRR.
l Commonwealth Edison in conjuction with discussions with A. Bournia (NRR) prefers to delay submittal of the revised program until this review is completed and a SER is issued. This is expected soon. The revised program will be submitted by June 1, 1986.

Hammerich was held on December 20, 1985 to discuss the status of the corrective actions. The delay of the submittal of the revised IST program was acceptable to W. Guldemond.
